Her position also entails involvement in nutrition program development, research projects and studies, patient and employee education, and community outreach.

She also practices what she preaches as a certified fitness instructor, leading Cardio-Kickboxing and a variety of other fitness classes at the Employee Fitness Center in the Walker Center.

Julia tells us, "I love Uncle Sam Cereal because it provides a great nutty & grainy taste for a filling breakfast or a healthy topper to snacks such as yogurt or meals like steamed veggies or crusted salmon! Uncle Sam Cereal really adds bulk to my meals due to it's wonderful source of soluble and insoluble fiber, high quality protein, and disease fighting omega 3 fat! This way I can eat less and maximize my nutrition without feeling hungry."
